It's not fair

I picked up my son yesterday from a friend who's watching him and knew that I had a meeting to be at in a little more than an hour. It seemed pointless to drive all the way back home so I decided to stop and get a drink before heading back to the office then to the meeting. While we were at it, my son stated he was hungry and so I bought him some food. An hour later I'm in Chik-Fil-A for this meeting and come to realize that it is kids eat free night. Doh!

I had heard one of those special kind of rumors about kids eating free on Wednesday at IKEA from a friend of mine several weeks ago and seeing as how I love that store, I jumped at the opportunity to go there with a couple of my friends. I took my son so that he could enjoy the dilectable treat of a free meal. Low and behold, the free meal doesn't start until 3 it's only 1:30 and I'm buying a meal I thought would be free. DOH!!

Long story short, the elusive "Kids eat free" has, yet again, escaped my grasp and it's not fair.

Maybe I should stop pursuing it and just stay home and cook. Now that's a concept.
